“Mary had a little lamb”, now you can, too! Needle felting will produce unique results depending on the wool you use, how firmly you needle felt, etc. There are no rules, which is one of the things I love about needle felting. That is what makes it a great medium for personalization and expression. It is hard not to get carried away with the expression of your own little lamb! Bring your felting needles and mat, or get it after you hear about the tools that are readly available. Roving provided.

Needle Felted Silk Scarf

Fee: $80.00

Let yourself be the designer and set yourself free! In this day-long
workshop, Debra will guide you through the process of needle felting your
own creation by using techniques such as free-form felting, creating layers,
finishing an edge, felting a design with stencils, adding colorful strands.
Needle Felting is a fiber art process used to “felt” without water. The
felting occurs by using a barbed needle that pushes a top layer of fiber
into the deeper layer. We will start with a silk scarf form and decorate it
with dyed wool, yarn and flash. The brilliance and texture of the different
fibers will satisfy your creativity. There is no limit to the things you can
add to your felted scarf while enjoying the “Eye Candy”! Class limited to 8

|
|
| |
Fee: $75.00

Nuno felting is a Japanese fabric felting technique. It melds loose fibre,
usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze. This creates a
lightweight felt that can totally cover the background fabric or be used as
a single decorative design. Experience the fun of felting. Using nuno
felting techniques, Mary Wilson of Pearl Moon Alpacas will show you how to
transform layers of wool fleece and fibers onto silk to make a beautiful
drapeable scarf. In this class we will cover layout, felting, fulling and
finishing. Students will bring home a completed scarf. Materials will be
provided for the class. Class limited to 8
